The idea was basic, to provide an area to people that they can share their thoughts. Since then, Twitter has been increased its popularity and reached huge numbers of people worldwide.

It did not happen in a short period, like everything, it took many years to reach Twitter this target. The main thing that differs Twitter from other Social Media platforms is the activeness during social events. When there is a big protest or anything similar, people are always active to give their supports or opposite thoughts. It has become a huge area to connect people.
